Whether you’re aiming to meet drivers, watch pack racing on the 1.5-mile tri-oval, or simply soak up the electric atmosphere, these tips will help you get the best out of your trip.

To get closer to the action, consider adding a Pre-Race Pass to your regular ticket. This upgrade allows access to the infield, where much of the fan activity is centred.

If autographs and photos are on your list, be prepared to get an early start. On Saturday, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM (2025 schedule), NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series drivers are available during the official autograph session at the Cabo Wabo Tequila FanWalk. Gates usually open well before the on-track programme begins, so arriving ahead of time gives you a better chance to join in. Driver introductions, Fan Zone appearances, and special team or sponsor events also offer great opportunities for interaction.

It’s a good idea to bring a small item such as a cap, die-cast car, or race programme for signatures – it keeps the line moving smoothly. And above all, be courteous and patient when approaching drivers during what is always a busy weekend.

Getting the most from race day

With Talladega’s huge crowds, planning ahead makes the day far easier. Try to schedule food or restroom breaks during green-flag stretches rather than cautions or restarts, when lines get long quickly. Remember that the venue is large, so getting from one grandstand to another or moving between the Fan Zone and the seating areas can take more time than expected.

When selecting your seats, think about your preferred view: lower rows give you the thrill of being right next to the track, while higher seats offer sweeping views of the entire tri-oval. Checking the seating map beforehand helps you choose the right balance.
